Dairy investment money delivered to producers ALBANY — As promised, the Dairy Investment funds were released on May 9 into the hands of New York’s dairy farmers. A total of 4,849 farms applied for the assistance money. However, there is reason to believe there is still eligible milk that was unaccounted for in the applications received. The Department of Agriculture and Markets will continue to accept applications from producers until July 9. After that date, Ag & Markets will issue a final check by the end of July to all eligible producers in order to use the entire $30 million alloted for the New York State Dairy Assistance Program.
