Agricultural Youth Scholarship raffle winner is Mexico's Clark Earlier this year the NYFB State Promotion & Education Committee initiated a fund-raising campaign with a statewide raffle in order to raise the scholarship awards from $1,000, $750 and $500 to the higher levels of $1,500, $1,200 and $1,000. This scholarship program is intended for high school seniors who are entering the agricultural field of study. Raffle tickets were sold statewide, with county Farm Bureau members approaching their community. The drawing was recently held and the winner is Herb Clark of Mexico. The prize was an LP Gas Grill with a side burner and cooking tools or $250 dollars in cash. The committee extends its thanks to Clark and all the others who supported this fund-raising effort, which will continue until the annual goal is achieved. Promotion and Education Chair Nancy Weber said that the committee is dedicated to raise the scholarship level that provides for a future filled with success. The New York Farm Bureau State Promotion & Education Committee and its full network of county members are enthusiastic and committed to raise awareness of agriculture and all that it has to offer.
