Campbell to head state maple group

The New York State Maple Producers Association recently elected long-time New York Farm Bureau member David Campbell as its president.

Campbell operates an 8,500-tap maple operation in Salem, Washington County. For the past two years, Campbell has served as vice president of the state association, and he is looking forward to stepping up to the role of president.

“My first order of business will be to continue work on the association’s new space at the New York State Fair,” Campbell said.

The NYSMPA’s mission is to support the maple industry in New York State and promote its long-term viability.

The association has more than 500 members. New York Farm Bureau has been instrumental in helping the association receive funds through the New York State budget process.
