Western New York
Farm Bureau Resource Center

Our Mission is "To Serve and Strengthen Western New York’s Diverse Agriculture"

The Western New York Resource Center was established in 1999 by New York Farm Bureau to serve the ten member county Farm Bureaus in the areas of media services and issue involvement. The center is located in Batavia, NY, and is staffed by a part time Resource Specialist and a part time assistant. Two regional Field Advisors work in conjunction with this office. The resource center has dedicated itself to providing the media, public officials and members with current and accurate agricultural information.

Media information – We maintain a listing of the media outlets in WNY. If you are having difficulty getting an agricultural story into the press, give us a call and we’ll try to help you.

For the media, we maintain a list of commodity experts throughout the region. On this list are names of farmers who can be contacted for specific information or interviews.

Agricultural information – Our staff has expertise on many agricultural issues and we have contact with a broad network of agricultural organizations. If we can’t answer your question, we can point you to someone who can.

Political information – We maintain a database of county, state and national elected officials for our area. If you need to get in touch with someone or want help contacting an official about an agricultural matter, we can help.
