Erie County Farm Bureau
Fred Harrington, President

Erie County Farm Bureau is proud to have been chosen to receive one of only 15 "County Activities of Excellence" awards from American Farm Bureau Federation for our efforts to pass Right to Farm laws in towns throughout the county. To help other county Farm Bureaus achieve success in their own counties, we are happy to provide samples of the material we used, including a letter to the town supervisor, sample Right to Farm law, press release, certificate, and plaque.

Erie County Farm Bureau gives farmers and non-farmers alike the opportunity to be part of an organization dedicated to supporting and enriching the rural way of life. It provides an opportunity for individuals involved in agriculture to join together and make their voices heard. We are active within the political system on a broad range of issues that concern every rural New York landowner, from taxation to conservation. We work hard to promote public policy that protects an owner's right to use land. We believe that a strong, viable agricultural industry is beneficial not only to our economy, but also to our local communities and our consumers.

Our Board of Directors usually meets on the first Thursday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at the Erie County Farm Bureau Office, 21 S. Grove Street, East Aurora, NY.

Erie County Farm Bureau is in District 1 and is represented on the New York Farm Bureau Board of Directors by Phyllis Couture. The field advisor is Tim Bigham who can be reached at 716-676-3467.
