About the Young Farmers & Ranchers Program |
|
New York Farm Bureau is proud to sponsor the Young Farmer & Rancher Program for people 18 to 35 years of age. The objective of the Young Farmers & Ranchers Program is to provide leadership in building a more effective Farm Bureau to preserve our individual freedoms and expand our opportunities in agriculture. Among the activities offered are the annual Achievement Award (information in PDF format and application form in word format), Excellence in Agriculture Award (information in PDF format and application form in word format), and the Round Robin Discussion Meet (questions for the 2008 Discussion Meet available here in PDF format), Discussion Meet Registration Form (in word format), and Discussion Meet Resource Material (pdf). The New York winners of each of these contests advance to the national level to compete in the American Farm Bureau Federation contests. Throughout the year, additional activities are planned for members of the Young Farmers & Ranchers Program. The Young Farmer & Rancher Program is coordinated by a committee made up of one member from each of the 11 Districts within New York.
