NY FARM BUREAU PRESIDENT'S STATEMENT ON GOV. CUOMO'S PROPOSED $300 MILLION BUDGET FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION FUND

The governor announced a 30% increase in EPF funding this morning in Long Island ahead of his State of the State and Executive Budget Address next week

“Governor Cuomo’s proposal to dramatically increase the budget of the Environmental Protection Fund by 30% is welcome news for the state’s farmers.  EPF funding is critical to support necessary water quality and conservation programs that serve to protect our natural resources in New York. New York Farm Bureau has long advocated for increased EPF funding, and we look forward to working with the legislature to support this budget request by the Governor," said Dean Norton, New York Farm Bureau President.
